    Hi all,

So there is 106 days till we are supposed to get married, everything was going so well too we was talking about getting my implant removed just before the wedding so we could try for another baby. This is it now looks like we are going to have to change the date to next year or cancel completly... the only thing paid for is my dress not even deposits on anything else and not sure how were supposed to get this all paid for before 4 weeks to the day.
    Any ideas or helpful advice?

    xx

I think your probably sensible to change your wedding date. The last thing you want to do surely is to "make do" with things. Surely if you save you can have the wedding of your dreams!! Have you sent any invitations out or anything that may need to be cancelled? If so I would do that as a matter of urgency xx

I've got no clue what I'd do :(... I'd hate to postpone, I feel like I've been waiting too long already. Would the bank not help? Could you not go in and ask?

If I were you I would postpone.

    If this is not the answer you want then I would;

    - Contact the Registry Office to see if your date and time is available,
    - H2B wears a suit he already has, so do your wedding party; you wear your dress, which will be beautiful,
    - You have silk flowers (perhaps a lady on here who is already married could lend you hers),
    - You buy silver rings for now; these can be replaced,
    - Don't have any bridesmaids or ask them to buy their own dresses,
    - Book a local function room (perhaps in a pub) and everyone pays for their own meal and drinks (tell the landlord to waive the fee as your guests will be buying drinks and food),
    - Ask a friend to do the photographs,
    - Only have day guests (don't need to feed them again) and load an MP3 or iPod with party songs for the disco,
    - Get a cake from M&S ( you can get a two-tier cake for a really good price),
    - I'll keep thinking...

    Hi Tinsel,

    Thank you,
Were getting married in a church but the vicar said we can pay so much a month even going after the wedding if need be as we know him.
    Adam has no suits.
Havent even thought about flowers if anyone could borrow me some it would be great.
My two older bridesmaids are buying theirs the younger ones parents are paying.
We've brought rings for £30 each to swap after.
The room is free but its the food and I wouldnt feel comfortable asking people for money for it to the point ive told everyone NOT to get us any presents.
Photos was the one thing I wanted profesional.
The guests for the day are 120 as its ALL family.
cake and cars my parents are paying for so thats not too bad.

    Thank you hunny x

If no-one gets you a gift, they can pay for their meal - that's fine!

Have a look in Matalan or Asda for a suit?

    Try Gumtree for a photographer.

What exactly have you booked? I thought you only had your dress, but if you have cars and a cake and a church, then could you have the church hall and serve afternoon tea as your meal?

your wedding day doesnt have to be about spending lots of money babe, its about marrying the man you love,,,, i wouldnt most definately ask for your quests to by there own meal (explain about costs) and if they are all family they shouldnt mind. or instead of gifts ask for money???

my 1st wedding was planned and paid for in 10 weeks. its not about how much u spend, it's about marrying ur man and spending the day with the people in ur life who matter. there r loads of ideas above. and if when ur married u feel like u missed out on the big day. av a blessing or renewal of vows on 1 of ur anniversaries. good luck and i hope it works out xxx
