Vicky & Gary's Wedding Story
We saw the venue on the internet and it all seemed like good value for money compared to others. Plus the history of the building and décor takes your breath away, especially the ceremony room. it really was everything we had dreamed of and more.
Our guests loved the castle for its history and lots of them said it was the best venue they had been to for a wedding. Being able to continue the party and use the castle exclusively for the evening made the celebrations really different and exciting.
On the morning of the ceremony I felt calm as everything was going to plan. My maid of honour, Emma Jane kept all the bridesmaids happy and calm for the day. Sam from Colchester Events Company helped every step of the way and the kept the day running smoothly with her planned itinerary.
She had recommended Jamie Lee Smith, a local catering company which took care of the wedding breakfast, the buffet and bar. I could not fault the caterer and would highly recommend them, they were so organized and the food was delicious.
We were lucky with the weather and our photographer managed to get some really good photos outside for us to look back on and treasure forever. In the evening we had our DJ again recommended by Sam, he was great and played lots of music requested and everyone had such a blast! Overall, the day was a huge success and there is nothing I would change!
