Wedding House: The Home of Wacky Weddings

If you're looking for wacky weddings, look no further than Channel Four's new series... which is already attracting over 1,000,000 viewers!

Fads, fetishes and fantasies come to life on a TV screen near you as the Wedding House team transform a stately home into a wedding wonderland, on Channel Four now.

With wedding planning a potentially stressful experience and with every bride desperate to ensure her day is individual, here, we ask the question; ‘Would you relieve yourself of the stresses and strains of your big day and put your nuptials in the hands of a team of wedding experts?'

Some brides-to-be would — after submitting a wish list in advance, 32 couples have chosen to delegate each and every aspect of their celebrations to a team of leading wedding professionals… and Channel Four are covering each wedding in their new series, Wedding House.

Wedding planner Chris Fitchew, bridal stylist Carol Spenser, registrar Cynthia Green, and hair and beauty experts Leo Bancroft and Liz Beckett are the faces behind the programme’s bespoke service.

This talented team work together to create a wedding day to remember (however bonkers!) and each and every ceremony is unique. All of the individually themed weddings are tailor made and legally binding, and the team take care of all wedding organisation in a bid to ensure that all focus is on the act of marriage itself and not on the months of planning beforehand.

Wedding House registrar Cynthia Green says: “You can stress about the practicalities - music, food and what to wear - but remember that when you and your partner are in front of the registrar, everything else will melt away. I call it the triangle - I'm at the top and the couple are at opposite ends and I bring them together.”

Amongst those tying the knot at The Wedding House and featuring on the Channel 4 show are Lisa and Mario (of Big Brother fame), barking mad Dalmation trainers Phil and Lou… and keen naturists Yvonne and Alan.

Other ceremonies that feature include a wacky Alice in Wonderland themed wedding, and a Tudor style civil ceremony. Registrar Cynthia also weds 17-year-old youngsters Madi and Dom in Episode four of the current series, to be screened next week.

Fashion and beauty expert Carol Spenser ensures the blushing brides taking part in the show look, and feel like the star of the show. She says: “Wild and wacky weddings are becoming more and more popular, but make sure it's something you are truly interested in and not just a fad that you'll cringe at in the future.”

The Wedding House is a refreshing alternative to the traditional white wedding, offering a distinct approach to planning ‘the big day’ for a truly memorable occasion.

Wedding House is broadcast on Tuesday at 8pm on Channel Four.
