Dawn Blunden, the Royal cake maker who owns Sophisticake will be supplying the wedding cake for our most anticipated prize- Win a £25,000 Dream Wedding. The winning bride will get to design her cake with Dawn to get the perfect cake for her wedding day.

Dawn has been commissioned to make numerous cakes for the Royal family, from wedding cakes and birthday cakes to creating speciality sprays of sugar flowers. If it’s good enough for Royalty, it’s good enough for you.

In 2005 Dawn was commissioned to make the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles wedding cake, and in 2006 she was asked to make a spray of sugar flowers for the Queen’s 80th birthday.

More recently she was commissioned by “Visit London” to create the first wedding cake on show in London in the run up to the Royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. The cake measured 4ft 6in high, and was a replica of St Brides Steeple which sits on the medieval church of St Brides in Fleet Street, London. It is also known as the wedding cake steeple and it is said that it is the inspiration for the tiered wedding cakes we know today.

The Royal cake maker has also appeared on national television. Sophisiticake featured on the BBC’s “Britain’s Royal Weddings” which aired in Spring 2011.
