I did them as soon as we booked the venue so had our date, give your guests as much notice as possible for them to keep the date clear, to plan/save if they need to book a hotel etc

Ordinarily they say 9-12 months but I am planning a June 22 wedding and finding already lots of people rearranging holidays from this year to next so was going to send in next couple of weeks?

We sent ours 12 months before the wedding

We sent ours around June last year for a Sept 2021 wedding x

I think throw the normal rules out the window and just send them out now, like some people have said above, you don't want people to have holidays/shows/other events already booked

12 months for save the date it gives people plenty of time to look at getting time off at the ready and if they have to travel they can sort things well in advance.

Invites (day and night ones as some people are only evening invites) are usually sent between 9-6 months in advance

We sent ours out not long after we booked our church and venue. It was about 16/17mths before. Then we had to rearrange due to covid and so the new save the dates were sent out 12mths before as soon as we had made the new arrangments.

Once we had booked the venue and church. I sent our save the dates out the following week. We did it super early so people knew our date and had time to plan for travel etc xx

We did ours as soon as we booked the church, we were just so excited and wanted to make sure everyone new so they didnt book holidays ect. Which was about 1 year and 5 months before the date. Hope this helps😊

I just sent mine out today- for our wedding in September 2022. My Mum has already rearranged one of her holidays to August 2022 & didn’t even give my wedding a thought! 🙄 So much being postponed with Covid I wanted to make sure I get in there first!

12 months notice for day and 6 months for night x

We did ours about 9/10 months before but it depends on the date, if it’s a Christmas wedding or on a “event” (Halloween, Valentine’s Day, bank holidays etc) then definitely at least 12 months as people plan well in advance for parties etc
